Canon Middle East empowers regional photography enthusiasts at Gulf Photo Plus 2010

Canon Middle East, world leader in imaging technology has partnered with Gulf Photo Plus (GPP), the region's only hands on dedicated Photography Event for the sixth consecutive year to offer a range of one-off special deals. For one time only in 2010, the region's amateur photographers can get their hands on Canon's extensive DSLR line up and try out its latest professional DSLRs in the market.As well as fully utilising a range of one-off special deals including significant discounts, photography enthusiasts will have the opportunity to borrow state-of-the-art Canon equipment such as the recently launched EOS 1D Mark IV, EOS 5D Mark II, EOS 550D and EOS 7D; and also experience a range of lenses ideal for a variety of disciplines such as photo journalism, portrait shots and sports photography.

The highlight of this year's GPP will be the regional debut of Canon's much awaited EOS 550D, a DSLR designed to redefine the entry level DSLR segment. Through GPP, Canon will enable amateur photographers to try out the EOS 550D which puts into the hands of the photographer new technologies and features previously the preserve of the professional segment. As well as Canon's strong DSLR line-up, also exhibited will be Canon's Powershot digital cameras, Legria camcorders and Pixma inkjet printers so that GPP participants can experience Canon's comprehensive product range.

For professional photographers, Canon will be showcasing and demonstrating the recently launched EOS 1D Mark IV, which has taken image quality and versatility to unprecedented levels. The camera which has set a new benchmark for action photography will further strengthen Canon's position as the camera of choice for professional photographers at GPP 2010.
